To give out to parents explaining why we are going on strike – there are two versions in the pdf download file, one which has space to add details if they want to organise a meeting, the other has information on how parents can support us. Please feel free to use these locally.

Urgent Appeal For Stewards:

We wish to identify six colleagues from your association who can act as stewards for the day – this will help us make sure we have a well organised march and rally and are able to deal with any media scrum should any celebrities turn up. Please inform the NTA President.

Appeal by Kevin Courtney, Acting NUT General Secretary:

Help your MP get the message – enough is enough.

Earlier this week I wrote to all MPs. The NUT’s message explained the harm that funding cuts are having in schools, the threat to teachers’ pay and conditions and why the Union is standing up for education by balloting for industrial action.

This message will have much more of an impact if MPs now hear from lots of their constituents reinforcing the points the NUT has raised nationally.

We have provided a template email, which you can personalise. It will only take you a few minutes to email your MP.

If you haven’t already done so, please do use your vote in the NUT’s ballot and vote YES for education, your profession and your pay and conditions.

Thanks in advance for your support.

Please return your NUT Strike Ballot Paper

This short video explains why teachers are saying ‘enough is enough’ and that now is the time to take action.

Please return your NUT Strike Ballot Paper and vote YES.

If you have not already done so, following the NTA’s recent email request, you can help our association by informing us that you have returned your Strike Ballot Paper using our survey: NTA Survey
